UCHS teachers provide guided support to each student balanced with the autonomy they need to be fully prepared for college and beyond. We also provide homework help and after-school tutoring, Saturday School for students who need extra support, and double periods of English and Math daily. Targeted Curriculum and Assessment UCHS develops its curriculum directly from the New York State Learning Standards that ensures students master a core set of basic academic skills before mastering higher-level material. We also use internally developed assessments to build a culture of continuous reflection and improvement. Great Teachers Without great teachers, nothing else matters. We believe in giving our teachers the time and professional tools to do their jobs effectively.
